Hi, I’m Faffini Roberto aka FaffoReef, named after an aquarium enthusiast, I’ve owned one since I was 15. I started with tropical aquariums and then fell in love with marine ones. I am a metalworker, in my free time I go to the gym, I really like to keep active and fit. My passion, however, remains the aquarium, I can’t do without it, in the evening I take a thousand photos and videos of it, I dedicate myself entirely to it. My tank is a 300 liter aquarium, with hybrid lighting, consisting of a LED ceiling light and T5. I mostly breed SPS corals including acropora and millepore. My consistency and dedication makes it improve visibly, in a short time I achieved beautiful results with extraordinary colours.

I’m Francesco, I’m 47 years old and I’ve been the owner of Animal Instinct since 2003. After working for about 8 years in a historic bar in the centre of Rome I decided to open my own business, a pet shop, especially aquariums, that reflected my passion and my love for this world. My parents were happy, very happy, since from then on I would no longer try to glue the shelves of the house to create aquariums, tubs for more, that were short-lived, they came off and ended up flooing the whole house.

 

I opened the store and called it “Animal Instinct” after the Cranberries song, at the beginning it was a niche reality known only in Rome and surroundings, for a few years instead, with the contribution of social networks, we have managed to make ourselves known in Italy and also abroad.
