Yes, ABEV and skimmer use should be coordinated. It is recommended to turn off the protein skimmer for about one hour after dosing ABEV. This allows corals to absorb the maximum amount of nutrients before they are removed by filtration. After an hour, the skimmer can be safely turned back on.
