Description
Micronutrients found naturally in seawater, despite their presence in trace amounts, have a huge impact on the lives of the inhabitants of coral reefs. Micronutrient deficiencies quickly lead to visible negative changes in the condition of the corals, so apart from regular water changes, it is worth taking care of additional supplementation.
Even though the exact effect of barium on the SPS corals condition stays unknown, research shows that it is quickly and regularly consumed by aquarium inhabitants. In heavily planted aquariums, especially aquariums dominated by SPS corals, barium supplementation based on water test results is recommended.
- Helps maintaining proper concentration of barium
- Developed to create conditions for corals almost identical to the natural ones
- Especially recommended in tanks with a high consumption of micronutrients
- Laboratory tested product
- Created on the basis of many years of aquarium experience
Dosage
1 ml increases the barium level by 0.005 mg/l (ppm) in 100 litres (27 US gal) of water. The recommended level of barium in aquarium water is 0.001 – 0.04 mg/l (ppm). Please remember, that maximum safe daily dose is 2 ml per 100 litres of water. If you need a higher dose, split it into a few days. We recommend dosage based on the ICP-OES tests results. Dosage should be based on microelements consumption. Note, that each aquarium is different and final dosage depends on the coral cast and individual aquarium needs. Both, deficiency and excess micronutrients will affect aquarium inhabitants, therefore dosage should be selected and modified on the basis of regular Aquaforest Lab water tests.
