The Aquaforest LAB line has been one of the key tools for precise supplementation in marine aquariums for years. These products were created for conscious aquarium management, trace element control, and stable coral development

Now LAB is undergoing its biggest refresh in years — both visually and functionally.

New packaging, a more consistent identity with the Seawater line, and changes in the concentrations of selected products are the result of our work to make LAB even more convenient, intuitive, and better suited to modern marine aquatics.

Why are we changing the look of the LAB line? #

The change is not accidental.

Over the years, the LAB line has built a very strong position among advanced aquarists, but we wanted to connect it even more visually with the Aquaforest ecosystem.

New identity:

• follows the visual style of the Seawater line,
• creates a more unified look across the Aquaforest supplementation range,
• improves product readability,
• makes it easier to identify products during everyday aquarium maintenance.

LAB remains a line built on precision and analysis, but now it fits even more clearly into the complete Aquaforest supplementation system. This is not just about aesthetics. We want users to immediately recognize, from the product’s appearance alone, that they are working with one consistent system for managing a marine aquarium.

Not just a new look — selected products now have higher concentrations. #

The LAB rebranding is not just a label change. In many products, we have increased the concentration of trace elements, making dosing more convenient and more efficient. This means that a smaller amount of product is needed to achieve the same effect.

This is especially important in larger systems and aquariums with high element consumption.

Key benefits of the changes:

• lower dosing,
• higher product efficiency,
• more convenient supplementation,
• more precise parameter correction.

At the same time, some products remain unchanged, as their formulas were already optimally adapted for aquarium use.

Below you can find the full overview of concentration changes introduced in the new version of the LAB line.

Additionally, the following products:

• KH Plus
• Ca Plus
• Mg Plus

are being moved to the Seawater line and will be available in the characteristic purple packaging of this series.

Two versions of the products will be available for some time. #

The LAB line update process will be carried out gradually. This means that, for some time, the following versions will be available simultaneously:

• products in the old version,
• products in the new version.

This is a completely natural transition stage related to stock replacement at distributors and stores, so it is very important to pay attention to the product version and the dosing assigned to that specific formula.

ICP and dosing recommendations – support for both versions. #

We know that many users base their LAB supplementation on Aquaforest ICP recommendations, which is why, during the transition period, the recommendation system will take both the old and new product versions into account.

Thanks to this, every user will be able to:

• safely continue supplementation,
• easily adjust dosing to the product version they have,
• avoid mistakes resulting from concentration changes.

Our goal was to carry out this change as smoothly and seamlessly as possible, without requiring a sudden change to the entire supplementation system.

LAB remains the same trusted system — now even more refined. #

The new version of LAB is a natural step in the development of the Aquaforest system. We are changing the design, increasing functionality, and simplifying everyday supplementation, but the foundation remains exactly the same:

• precision,
• stability,
• full control over the marine aquarium.
