AF Bio Sand

I’ve just set up a new aquarium using AF Bio Sand. I followed the instructions for using the sand, and after 3 days, I conducted my first test for ammonia and nitrite. The results showed no ammonia but nitrate presence in my aquarium. Does this mean my aquarium is ready? How long does the nitrogen cycle take with AF Bio Sand?
